Over the next 24 hours Facebook will roll out a new Messenger feature that will allow users to hold group calls. You’ll be able to fully use the new feature once the phone icon appears in group conversations.
There have been mixed reports as to the number of people you can call at once, with some reporting up to 50 people and others only 12. As more users get the update this should become more clear. It’s important to note that despite this update, video calls are still restricted to one-on-one chatting.
This latest feature comes after Messenger recently rolled out scannable profile codes, mini games, gave users the ability to send money and introduced a function for developers to build bots.
